IU Basketball — The State of Basketball

In early 2019 we received a call from Indiana University asking us to help with their pre-game in-stadium hype video. All of their videos in the past had worked just fine and fit right in with a typical D-1 basketball hype video. But Indiana isn't your typical basketball school. There's a rich history of basketball with this school, but there's a much deeper history of basketball in the state. And they wanted our help to tell that story before we got in to all of the dunking, and blocking, and high-fiving, and more dunking, and then maybe three or four more blocks and a couple of fist pumps of the hype section.

Growing up in Indiana, it doesn't matter if you like basketball or not—you're gonna play it. And we really don't care where either. Put a rim on it and we'll make do. Morning, night, rain, snow—we don't care. Just give us the ball.

To show the states love and dedication to the game we went around and shot courts all throughout the state as well as some of the beautiful forgotten gyms before the invention of Class Basketball. All in all we traveled over 600 miles across the state, in a Ford Flex to collect its heritage in courts and hoops.
